Dr. John Bauer, a leading veterinary nutritionist, wrote, "Omega-3 fatty acids are critically important in pet neuromuscular development, skin health, and coat quality."

Mackerel are a great source of EPA and DHA long-chain omega-3 fatty acids but also high in protein, and provides a range of trace minerals which includes natural forms of zinc, antioxidants and a full spectrum of vitamins including D, B12, E and K.

Omega-3's benefits:

  • Alleviating the harmful effects of allergies and other conditions that result from an over reactive immune system response
  • Slowing the growth of common yeast infections
  • Aiding proper development of the retina and visual cortex
  • Regulating blood-clotting activity
  • Slowing the development and spread of certain pet cancers
  • Cardiovascular disorders
  • Cognitive function and neurological health
  • Inflammatory skin disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Osteoarthritis.

Ingredients:

Wild-caught Mackerel

Picky boxer

We really wanted to add a fish oil so that my boxers dry skin could get the oil but we’ve tried for six months now to get him to eat it I even shaved some of it to put in his dog food and he would not even eat the raw dog food. Silly dog

Raw Dog Food and Company

Not a problem to get what you need if you can't get it from real fish. We've got you covered!

Add a rotation of the Potent Sea, Green Lipped Mussel Oil and or the Phytoplankton.
All are fantastic and different! Use one bottle then move to the next. Or another great option our Raw Squad Pet Parents use is purchasing 2 of the 3 stated above and rotating those back and forth each day or each week.

Perfect!

The only thing that would make these better, and I'm trying to find SOMETHING is if they were individually wrapped. We defrost them a little, separate them out, and refreeze for easier feeding. Otherwise, really excellent - and FUN - product for our dog. She takes them out back, lays in the sun, and bites the heads off first. Her favorite!

My Boxer's Favorite Meal

My Boxer always seems to know when the Mackerel is on the menu! She will eat anything, but she does a special dance, along with singing (whining), when she smells the Mackerel. She loves the sardines too, but the Mackerel is the only thing that makes her dance as well as sing.

Fish is great!

I have really been enjoying feeding the Mackerel to my 5 Rhodesian Ridgebacks! They love it, and it's a healthy choice to add in to their weekly meals.
