Beef Recipe

72.5% meat, 10% bone, 10% organs, and 7.5% fruits and vegetables

Ideal for raw feeders because it provides the foundational ingredients of a raw diet – muscle meat, bone, and organs as well as whole fruits and vegetables. Including small amounts of fruits and vegetables in your pet's evolutionary diet helps balance the gut microbiome and provides a source of fiber.

This recipe was formulated to provide a natural source of amino acids, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins, and minerals such as vitamin B12, zinc, and selenium.

Beef is a neutral protein that will work for most dogs. Neutral proteins are a great way to provide a variety without disrupting the digestive system.

Sourcing:

Our protein is sourced only from USDA-inspected and approved-for-human-consumption suppliers.  Never ever sourced from feed lots.

Beef is USDA Grade A sourced and antibiotic, steroid, and hormone-free.

Fruits and vegetables are grown domestically.

Many producers/suppliers are getting away from some of the terminology like "pasture raised", "free range", or even "organic" because those words can easily be manipulated and the consumer believes they are getting something that they are not.  Instead we focus on mindful sourcing and hand selecting suppliers who provide products we can trust and believe in.

    Problems with this

Larger bone pieces, some are really sharp. The beef is always very loose. I’m paying for meat and I don’t like that I’m squeezing so much blood or what that liquid is, before I weigh it and serve it to my dog.

    Hi Juanita,

Thank you for your review and feedback on the Beef Recipe with veggies. We understand your concerns about the bone pieces and the consistency of the beef blend.

Regarding the bone pieces, we do include real bones as they are essential for your dog's nutrition, providing vital minerals and helping with dental health. You can feel safe feeding them to your pup even if they seem to larger or contain sharp edges. The bones are not going down independently, they're surrounded by the food and dogs have a very wide esophagus that allows the swallowing or large pieces of food since they cannot chew their food. If your dog feels they cannot handle one of the bone pieces they will leave it in the bowl and that's ok.

As for the consistency and liquid, that's actually the natural juices from real meat - it's what makes real food real! The liquid contains valuable nutrients and is completely normal with fresh raw meat. The consistency can vary based on many factors including the animal's diet, season, and processing conditions. While we understand it might look different from what you expect, this is a sign you're getting genuine, unprocessed food rather than something artificially standardized.

We appreciate your continued support and understand that transitioning to real raw food can take some getting used to for us humans, even when our dogs love it!

    More veggies

Wish more veggies were in it. My dog has constipation and needs more vegetables in his diet to help. We spent 800 dollars at the vet to find out . Just meat allows was not doing it for my baby.

Hi Jannelle, you are right that a complete raw diet is not just meat. That's why our blends contain meat plus bones, organs, and fat. Some dogs need more of certain things or have a preference for and you can always add to the blends. For more veggies, try our freeze dried veggie blend called Green Rover. No shopping or preparing multiple vegetables for the pups, this blend has a wide variety of greens making it easy to give your pup a nice variety. https://shoprawdogfood.rawdogfoodandco.com/collections/supplements/products/green-rover-organic-greens

    Ozzy loves it

No complaints about anything we have purchased. Only wish there was a larger variety of food without high pressure pasteurization
