This item is extremely lean at less than 1% fat. Therefore, it must be combined with a sufficient source of healthy fats. Lean meats like chicken are great to include in raw diets that require lower fat or homecooked diets. Lean meats are a great source of all essential amino acids, B vitamins, and phosphorus. White meats are lower in minerals such as zinc and iron, and therefore pair well with red meats.

My older cat couldn't handle the bits of bone in the chivken mix so I buy this, add organ mix and better than bones to make it a complete mix that she loves and doesn't puke up. She does really well on this.
Thank you for your review. Glad you found something that works for your pet. You might also consider our Beef Blend product which now uses salmon bones as the bone source. These bones are fine milled to a powder, eliminating the bone pieces in the blend. A great option for pets sensitive to the small bits and you would not have to add anything else to it.
