NOTE:
Our Turkey Mix contains raw bone that is not finely ground for cats. Please feed appropriately based on your cat’s chewing ability and eating style.
Turkey Mix is made with antibiotic-free and hormone-free turkey, and serves as the perfect foundation for a nutritionally complete meal. This recipe is made of ground turkey, turkey bone, turkey heart, turkey liver, and turkey gizzard, The added heart makes this a great blend for puppies and cats. This recipe was formulated to provide a natural source of amino acids, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins, and minerals. Turkey is very protein dense and an excellent source of iron, B vitamins, selenium, potassium, phosphorus, and zinc. Turkey contains softer, more cartilaginous bone and will work well for the immediate transition from kibble to raw.
Sourcing:
Our protein is sourced only from USDA-inspected and approved-for-human-consumption suppliers. Never ever sourced from feed lots.
Turkey is fed an all-vegetarian diet, antibiotic, and hormone-free. Our turkey supplier is Certified Humane and GAP (Global Animal Partnership) approved, providing twice the amount of space in their turkey barns than is required.
Many producers/suppliers are getting away from some of the terminology like "pasture raised", "free range", or even "organic" because those words can easily be manipulated and the consumer believes they are getting something that they are not. Instead we focus on mindful sourcing and hand selecting suppliers who provide products we can trust and believe in.

Those of us who need to be financially conscious know that there are less expensive ways to feed your furry family members, so it's important to feed your dog enough, without spending extra. Put another way, I make an effort to feed my dog exactly X calories per day or week, of a proper, healthy raw diet, for both financial and nutritional reasons, and without spending more than I have to. I also rotate the foods our beloved buddy eats, so he neither becomes sensitized to them, nor unable to eat anything else. It takes a little extra effort up front to know exactly how many ounces of each food for each meal, but it saves thousands of dollars over time. This turkey mix, along with the rabbit/duck, beef, and lamb, is among the highest calories per dollar of all offerings from tis company. He loves it and meets all the goals.
Our pup used to wake us up for food. Loved turkey. Won't eat this at all. Even if I mix another formula in, or add human grade ground turkey. Wasted this.
Hello Jessica!
Thank you for the time to chat on the phone regarding the Turkey mix. We are so happy to help our customers find the perfect food for their pups. Let us know if pulling out the kibble did the trick or adding in some smelly tripe! - Thank you again for joining the "Raw Squad" and being the awesome pet parent you are. We appreciate you!
The quality of the food is outstanding, especially for dogs but when I noticed how big the bones were I was shocked. Some were very sharp as well. This could definitely hurt a kitty! Thankfully my cat was able to spit them out. I contacted Carnos directly and you shouldn’t be feeding these foods with these bones to cats. There is a boneless option but then you’ll have to add a supplement for the calcium. Please adjust all this on your website!
Thank you for the feedback and for the kind words about the quality of the food.
We do want to clarify a few things for anyone reading. The bone content in these blends is ground raw bone, not cooked bone. Raw bone is softer and less brittle than cooked bone, and some natural variation in particle size and shape can occur during the grinding process. While certain pieces may appear larger or sharper visually, this does not make them unsafe when fed as intended.
Many cats and dogs consume ground raw bone diets without issue, though individual animals can vary in their comfort and preferences. Some pet parents do prefer boneless feeding for cats, and that is certainly an option, but it is not a requirement. If feeding boneless long-term, calcium does need to be appropriately balanced through another source.
We appreciate you sharing your experience and helping contribute to the conversation around raw feeding.
