Whole Raw Duck Heads

Whole duck heads with tufted feathers and tongues removed. Averaging 75% bone and 25% meat, our duck heads are made with antibiotic-free, hormone-free, and non-GMO duck. The brain is a rich source of vitamin B-12, selenium, and DHA, while the skull bone provides essential calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. They provide plenty of mental stimulation as a snack to gnaw on while also supporting good dental hygiene. Can be fed as raw meaty bone component of a DIY diet or for a chewing treat for additional bone.  Recommended for dogs, cats would do better this item ground.  Approximately 12-15 heads per bag.

Sourcing:

Our protein is sourced only from USDA-inspected and approved-for-human-consumption suppliers.  Never ever sourced from feed lots.

Duck is antibiotic and hormone-free.

Many producers/suppliers are getting away from some of the terminology like "pasture raised", "free range", or even "organic" because those words can easily be manipulated and the consumer believes they are getting something that they are not.  Instead we focus on mindful sourcing and hand selecting suppliers who provide products we can trust and believe in.

One of our dogs' favorite after-dinner desserts!

How ducky is that? Getting a duck head for dessert. Both our standard poodles absolutely love crunching on them. They're the perfect size and shape to give them a good chew.

Heads are all partially or totally crushed

I realize what I wanted the heads for was not their intended purpose. That said, I intended to clean the skulls using dermestid beetles and donating/selling the skulls for educational avian physiology purposes.

All skulls were at least partially crushed and many were totally crushed and unusable.

It would have been helpful if there had been a mention of the crushed nature of the skulls in the description. I was disappointed.

    Hi Darrell
I've never seen crushed skulls in the duck heads. And I've never used duck heads that are meant for dogs fresh and not sold as a dried out science project. To thaw - thaw the lot of them, pre-portion and refreeze. Dogs love these as they are nutritious and full of eyes, brains, tongue, cartilage and easy to digest!
