This item contains a moderate fat content that is appropriate for most healthy dogs and cats. Pork is an excellent source of the B vitamin thiamin, which is commonly low in homemade raw or cooked diets that do not include pork, venison, lean lamb, or lean duck. Pork is lower in zinc and iron, which means it pairs well with lean beef or game meats such as venison.
